Chiropractors

Here at BioBirth our midwives will often refer a patient for chiropractic care during their pregnancy or postpartum period. Chiropractic care is the correction and health maintenance of the spinal column, discs, related nerves and muscles without drugs or surgery. It involves the art and science of adjusting fixated joints of the body, especially of the spine, which reduces stress and therefore promotes health throughout the body. Aligning the spine so baby can navigate through the pelvic bones provides for an easier birth process for both mama and baby. Regular chiropractic care can also provide a more comfortable pregnancy and delivery. Chiropractic care throughout pregnancy has been linked to higher positive birth rates which means healthier babies.  Many of our patients have also noticed easier pushing stage for pregnancies during which they received chiropractic care vs. their previous pregnancies without.
